What Did They Find?
In early September, the York University team was winding up the
dig for the 2005 season. Nothing left except checking the season's work, covering up
the dig and packing for the trip home.
Suddenly, they discovered something unexpected that did not fit with their
summer work. Did the Pict's leave them with a mystery? Did they find evidence of new
settlements or bones of invaders? What will the amazing Portmahomack dig reveal next?
